Abstract:
A joint UCSB / Jackson State project, part of a campus wide exchange program between the two institutions, with the aim to
collect oral histories in Mississippi relating to race relations, and completed for a symposium to commemorate the 30th Anniversary
of CDGM (Child Development Group of Mississippi), the first Head Start Program in the state. The interviews were conducted
in Mississippi and in Oakland, California.
